Ronny Matzat and his team has been a wealth of knowledge and inspiration to Norfolk Blinds as we begin our journey into the world of sustainable building products and design. Ronny is introducing an awareness to architect and design professionals for the need of sustainable solar control whilst still providing modern and aesthetically appealing finishes. We recommend Ronny as an authority and well credentialed contact in sustainable building and design.”

Paul Humber / director Norfolk Blinds

Our appearance at the SEE expo in Sydney this year started by receiving a message on LinkedIn a few weeks before the event. Paul, the director of Norfolk Blinds, was looking for a rather professional presenter to the sustainable design community instead of the “typical” sales pitch approach. After a few emails, phone calls and a meeting in Brisbane, we realized that we are talking the same “genuine green” language and we agreed to do it.

It has been a fantastic experience working with Paul and the team of Norfolk Blinds since they can truly see the advantages of establishing a sustainable business. Besides the presentation at the exhibition we also created a video on sustainable blinds for educational purpose which is now used as marketing material by Norfolk Blinds and for online CPD education through the Green Building Institute Australia.  We at DSGNK look forward to continue working with Paul and his team and to help him become the most sustainable blind company in Australia (at least).

Ronny was born in former East Germany and describes himself as a world citizen and creative superhero. He is the founder of DSGN Kartell as well as a director for the Green Building Institute Australia. Grown up where “sustainability” was a necessity to survive, he developed a broad skill set and a very creative mind. Home & product designer, sustainability advocate, businessman, photographer – Ronny is wearing many hats (literally).
